If you live in given a long and warm growing season, it can be grown and harvested like an annual.
These do NOT tolerate frost.
Growth is bushy if trimmed in early growth.
Otherwise, the stem will grow only upwards.
Can grow up to 6 feet Wide and 8 feet Tall.
Ideal soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH (6.0-7.0).
Planting Choices:
You can plant these in a well-draining pot.
1. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date, then transplant them outdoors once nighttime temperatures stay above 60°.
2. Start plant needs Full Sun (at least 6-8 hours per day) and warm, well-drained.
*Soak Seeds before planting about 7 hours and nick seeds on the side.
** Plant 1/4 inches deep
Keep watered around the base.
Allow to dry in-between watering.
In hot summer months lightly mulch to retain moisture.
Found in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
These are excellent in North Texas for growing!
These Roselle have bright red stems and are used for making a fiber similar to jute, and its fruits are harvested for beverages, sauces, jellies, and wine.

How are Seeds Shipped ?
All very small seeds are processed using a normal stamp process for letters. Larger small seed orders will be shipped with a non-Machinable stamp. MULTI seed orders are shipped in a larger First-Class envelope with a printed USPS Etsy tracking label.
